For now, what would be the best kind of glue? Super glue? Carpenter's glue? it's right at the windshield, so it will be pretty out of sight. I'm just afriad super glue will eat through it?

you might just go find some aerosol glue. It works pretty well, and you don't have to worry about it eating your carpet.

IVE USED THE AEROSAL GLUE AND THAT SHIT SUCKS... I RECOMENT REPLACING THE WHOLE THING IT COST ME $250 TO DO IN AND IM IN ORANGE COUNTY CA..

IVE USED THE AEROSAL GLUE AND THAT SHIT SUCKS... I RECOMMEND REPLACING THE WHOLE THING IT COST ME $250 TO DO IN AND IM IN ORANGE COUNTY CA..

YAY! I fixed it! I got some aerosol glue at Target for 3 bucks! I sprayed it into the lid and applied it with a plastic knife.

It might have been the brand of glue. Anything that 3M makes is awesome, alot of other fall well short.
