Well the sprinkler at work got me and left the hood covered in white hard water stains. The car has 200 miles on her and is grey green. I waxed the hood with a cleaner wax but you can still see the rings of the deposits! did I screw up? and how do I fix it? Thanks!!
I don't know of any car products specifically for hard water, but CLR will disolve hard water with no problem. I don't know how safe it is to use on a car, but it is worth a shot.

Try Gel-Gloss from Home Depot or some such hardware store. Safe for clear coats and glass. If you need a little bit more cleaning try No7 white polishing compound. Both products are cheap and good. Be sure and wax after using.
I did use the viegar full strength and left it on the car for approx 5 minutes and it worked great! I followed up with Klasse all in one and then carnuba. Thanks for the greatadvice
