I have been reading the posts here for a few days, and I noticed that practically no one has mentioned Griot's Garage products. Does anyone use them? I have used them on a couple of vehicles, and have been pretty pleased with the results.

Have I been wrong all this time? Are my standards laughably low? Or is Griot's just not doing a very good job of marketing?

I use their product and I love them!

I'm using their Paint Cleaning Clay, Speed Shine, and Interior cleaner.

I have also purchase other things from them as well.

I think they have a very high quality product, but the do not advertise much at all. I got a catalog in the mail one day, that how I found out about them.

Anyone else use their stuff??

Hmmmm....anyone else out there?

I have had good luck with their stuff, and their customer service has been superb. It's strange that more people don't use it. If you believe their catalog, however, it's being used by all kinds of concours and other high-end car people.

Oh well, I certainly don't have to use the most popular wax, just one that works well.

I have used a bunch of their products. Speed shine is my favorite. They have high quality products and great knowledgeable customer service people.

I have bought AND RETURNED all but ONE item from Griots. I have tried, these products.
1.Car shampoo.(Nothing special, doesn't compare to my favorites like Sonus,1Z perls,P21S,Menzerna, and Sonax..(R.I.P.)
2.Wheel cleaner, An awful lot like repackaged P21S Wheel cleaner but more expensive.
3.Interior cleaner. Nothing special, it does work but I like 1Z interior cleaner better.
4.Window/glass cleanser. NOTHING BUT diluted down alcohol. CRAP
5.Micro fiber towels. small, not very "plush"
6.Catalog, it's the only item I kept.
Autopia has MUCH better products for less money (shipping and product cost)

I think in the end its whatever products you work with best. As with most things, its not the products as much as the person. To your point, the window cleaner isn't magic, but their lint free towels are pretty good. Another example as you pointed out was the car wash - its fine, but nothing spectacular, but then again its car wash. I'll have to check out some of the alternatives you mentioned - isn't clean clean if you go through a decent detailing process (rinse, wash, rinse, clay, polish, wax)? BTW - what do you do with the catalog if the products don't suit you?

I look at the "latest" additions to their Detailing supplies. Let me see, Barbaque smock with flames, Disc brake toilet paper roller, After shave, leather jackets, t-shirts,lamps for the desk, ,sneakers, ohhhhh acarpenters level. I mean come on, are they selling detailing supplies? Or just stuff to sell?. Whyare they introducing all this stuff and not any new detailing supplies?

Yeah, okay ... I saw that too. It really is tacky, but I have to think its because he maxed out his potential sales in products. One of the easiest ways to increase revenue is to branch out and sell "related" items. I agree, accessories in the catalog are lame. However, it underscores the point that the catalog is not worth much to you. You might decide to recycle.
