Sup guys-
So we got our 2004 320i (Jet Black) last week (June 11th), and I've already washed the beauty twice. I would like to get your suggestions on cleaning the car, but week in mind the following:
We work 12+ hours a day
In the week mornings, I have like 15 minutes free (when I'm ready to leave for work but the lady is not...)
The car is Jet Black (looks ALWAYS dirty )
It's a 3 year location (so I dont really _care_ about long term)
I hate it when it looks dirty
We live in Montreal (we have snow for about 5 months of the year)
I want to get the fastest most efficient way to clean the car
I'm in LOVE with this car
I dont do shows or anything with the car, I just drive it
wax that bad boy to start... try mothers pure carnuba, best shine you can get. Then just keep washing it normally, at least once a week. If you experiance alot of dust on the car, go and purchase a california car duster ($20) it works great, and makes ur car look like u just washed it.
Click here<--- for some info on a product that you can pull out of your trunk, spray and wipe your whole car in less than ten minutes to clean it and keep up the shine. Or you can just spot clean in a couple of minutes.
If it's just dust, I agree with CiscoKid.
Something else you might consider is using a product like Rejex that can polish your windows as well.
Also, read through the Detailing FAQ's for more info.
Here's a link to 100's of car care product reviews, prices and manufacturers.
btw, is your car garaged? If not, obviously a good cover would help out.
Silver4evr --> Oups. that should've been KEEP. But hey, if the hat fits... :P
CiscoKid --> I got the mini cali4nia car duster for inside the car yesterday, wow it's a good product. I'm probably going to get the real one next weekend. Thanks for your feedback man.
Silver4evr --> Dri Wash is another thing I should get too... thanks man... hopefully it's available in Montreal...
i have to disagree with the car duster... it can cause scratches on your car.... say there is dirt on it and gets caught in the duster then u are whiping and u are now causing scratches and swirl marks!!!
if u dont have alot of time this stuff is great! tho u woudnt get the greatest shine with just that it is better than nothing... if u have even more extra time i would use the klasse selent glaze also...
if u want a fresh SG look but dont have the time u can get this! i heard its great, its like wax/polish in a spray bottle... u litteraly just spray wipe, turn over and buff off!!! http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-250.html
