Fixing Touch-Up Paint

I have a '96 Hellrot Red E36 M3 with a bit of sloppy touch-up paint on the rock chips.

Is there a way to get rid of the touch-up over-paint to get the paint surface looking good again!

If you have current paint you want to get rid of, you can wet sand it to remove it/smooth it out. Are the spots really big? If so, you can get a spray can from TouchUpPaintOnline.com and respray it. I bought paint from there to redo a fender for my wife's SUV and the paint matched perfectly.

Would you use 600 grit sandpaper for that?

I would try 2000 or 2500 grit if you haven't sanded before. Then follow with 3000 and rubbing compound if doing by hand.
