ok, the previous owner of my car was a total asshole. not only did he go for rock bottom prices on everything (including the paint job cause you can see the dripping paint that dried). but in this scheme you can tell he also never washed the car. On all of the exterior glass there are water marks i just can NOT get off, i have washed them numorous times, tried Glass Scrub which my neighbor recomended which worked a little on the hard stuff and the side mirrors but nothing elsewhere. my neighbor suggested that the water actually etched my glass, how the hell can that happen? and how do i get rid of it safely? he suggested getting a glass polish and polishing the hell of it with a polisher at like 3000RPMs. any info would be great as im getting sick of this.

You should try Gel-gloss (from Home Depot or other hardware store). It can be used with a buffer.
