Cleaning The Headliner... - BMW Forum

I did a search on this and didn't find anything.
I was always afraid to do this but now my tan interior isn't looking so hot anymore.
So what can I use? The cloth seems pretty thin and I don't want to rip it. I thought about carpet cleaner with a soft cloth or maybe renting a steam vac.
Can anyone please give me some advice?

a steam vac could work, everytime i clean my headliner, i use a little bit of degreaser, and a terry towel... dry to dab it.. don't rub, if u want anymore info, check out washa detail section!

Ok, so I finally cleaned my headliner.
I used a diluted Woolite/Zero and a white cotton T-shirt and gently rubbed away the dirt. Now I've never really cleaned the headliner before (for 8 years to be exact) but by the end of the cleaning the T-shirt was black! I can't believe that much dust was collected over the years.
Well, I'm happy it's clean now.
