Found a claying kit (mcguires) with claybar and wax included.Should I use a polish after waxing or will that be a waste of time? I have black exterior ('98 528i).
What is a good polish to buy from auto parts store?
Thanks for any opinions!
Mark

I would also recomend that you wash your BMW again after you clay and before you polish because the clay tends to leave a residue behind. The clay strips a fine layer of surface contamination off your paint, tires, bumper or wherever you apply it. Its definitely a great way to improve the appearance and quality of your paint. If you polish and wax afterwards you will be rewarded with amazing results! I hope you'll try it out, it's easy to learn how to do here. Do you guys use mechanical 'buffers' for polishing and waxing? I have a little 6" one from Ryobi and am pretty happy with it.

The Ryobi should do the trick but if your in doubt you can always use applicators and do it by hand.
