Plus, if the small hole was created by a "cruise missile" wouldn't that have been the center of the explosion? CMs don't detonate on impact, but can actually be programmed to detonate after penetrating X numbers of floors. Ergo, an explosion on the outside wall from a CM wouldn't retain shape after blowing up. Given that the fuel tanks in a jet are in in the wings (hence why there are no wings left), the blast occured after the nose impact. The nose carried its momentum through the walls with the force of the explosion behind it. Eventually even it will break apart, as it did.
