there was a guy at my local hobby shop that had a remote control car that went 0-100 in 2.9 lol that is fast
what??? i call BS there.. come on? 2.9 0-100? i would think it would be outta range for most RC cars by the time it 100....not to mention the other obvious reasons im calling BS

wow you don't know alot about rc cars mine hits its top speed of like 20 something in a blink of an eye, well more like half a second, so don't call bs about stuff you don't know about, ok .....cool....have fun
oh and about the range thing i have a cheap ass 200 dollar kit that i built myself, it has like a 5 dollar remote that came with it and i can drive it until i can barely see it, and the hobby shop owner's car was worth like a few thousand and he had all sorts of hightech shit his remote had like an lcd screen and everything, so range isn't an issue
BS, had to be sped up, the trans am sound was probably dubbed, had to be.
Scooter could never go that fast.

this one guy had an electric one with a singel turn motor, i don't know how fast it was but as soon as he hit the throttle the thing was gone, it was crazy fast
yeah mine only goes like 25mph and last summer i was playing with it, i drove it way far down the road by my house and all of a sudden i saw it fly like 3 feet in the air, i was like oh shit, i ran to the car, and found there was s huge dip in the road and my car was flipped over like 8-10 feet away i was like holy shit!! i took off the body and found that the flywheel was busted and the rear shock mounts were all screwed, well it cost me about 50 bucks to fix everything including buying and painting a new body cause the other one was thrased, i spent like 700 bucks total in like 6 months, i had to stop playing with it cause it was such an expensive hobby, but it's super fun expecially if you race your car at your local hobby shop, i was kicking ass i had a m3gtr body with tinted windows and a radio, i took apart a dollar store radio and put it in my car it was frikin awesome, i was suprised the radio was messed up with the transmitter and reciever stuff.
i recommend everyone buy a real rc car they are super fun
