This doesnt suprise me at all. If I had gone through the same, I dont see how I could drive anything else.
Im curious, are these pretty good cars? I realize they are fast and have very good handling and balance (AWD), but how cheaply are they made? My roomate is seriously consdering one, and I just question the durability of a force inducted four mated to an AWD drivetrain. Also, he likes the high quality interior of my Bimmer and my other roomate's Mercedes, is the STI's interior super cheap like a Sentra SER or a Lancer EVO? Just curious as I assume most buy these cars to have a ball and not for their Grand Touring capabilities or lack thereof.
BTW, I still like my tank idea, but these days you really have to consider fuel economy!!
The interior is decent->good (but not great). I would have loved to been able to factory order leather, etc (sucks its not an option). The inside of the 05 STI is comfortable (seats, controls) and is (in my opinion) better than the interior of the evo (and even my 02 wrx). I'll be happy to answer any questions your frined might have before they pick a new ride, I'll snap some pictures, etc if they'd like.
