would that really be the best course of action? just seemed to me like some immature guys trying to act hard and get their jollies by destroying property rather than actually trying to resolve the situation in the best way possible. not to mention they destroyed the stolen wood in the process anyway.
The best course of action is usually not available under martial law; it exists for nonideal situations. These guys were probably out on patrol and had to deal with the situation quickly. There are clear guidelines laid out by their commanders for dealing with general kinds of mischief. Usually this form of theft involves incarceration and impounding or destruction of the vehicle...apparently impounding wasn't an option for this patrol area. Vid doesn't show whether the guys were incarcerated or not, but my bet would be yes.

I usually support stuff like this, you know i think its a little unfair to get a soldier in trouble maybe because he physically beat down a "civilian" that was shooting at him earlier. and Im somewhat alright with this, but whyd they shoot the car? and like ivan said, they crushed the wood too... whatever, im not going to question the way they fight for my freedom. as long as its not in a completely inhumane way. and they WERE looting
