This may be one of the last times I'll hear this car NA. Turbo should arrive this coming week and the car will go into the garage as the cold weather gets worse. Sounds pretty good doesn't it?
BTW the white paint is driving me crazy, will be changed this winter too.
Oh, and also, don't fear for the motor. The temp never goes past the first solid line, but does read properly (and the car had been running about 15min). I will figure out how to adjust it one of these days.

No it's KM but it's still not entirely accurate. Up to 10mph under still. It was a lot worse with the 18's.
I could be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that the early e24's (and others) had a type of cable system or something like that instead of digital.

Meh, something like that. This speedo is a mystery to me. I could be flying past interstate traffic and still only see 110km on the speedo.
New cap and rotor on the way, spark plugs, and a few other things. The butt dyno tells me it's still running pretty strong but I still have plenty of maintenance to catch up on.

Feel free to post m30 vids of your own . Having something to compare it to wouldn't hurt.
I'll try to figure out who has GPS. For now I just feel good knowing the motor is running without issues. Right now it feels almost as fast as my e36 did, hopefully the butt dyno isn't letting me down here.

I'm not sure if I can get you video since I don't really know how I can hold the camera and drive, but at the minimum I'll get you the 20-70mph time (aproximatelly 30-110 like what you did here).
edit: as for the butt dyno .. it very easily could be letting you down since the m30 puts out a lot more torque than a nonvanos m50.

Sorry, I don't have 3 hands. Last time I tried holding the camera and driving really fast and furious, I almost ended up in understeering into a ditch between 2 highway ramps.
edit: my OBC has a feature to digitally display the velocity in km/h on it ... im gonna get you video of that since then it wont be approximate and I can actually know when I'm doing precisely 30km/h and all.
LOL what? It felt like I was going 100mph when I shut it down.
