Put together a couple of videos with music and pics :P One is of my buddies '01 Honda (I know it should probably be on a honda forum but who cares) and the other of my car. I'm still learning how to edit videos and things so please be easy :P
not bad. for future use. a clip in a film is never to short. such as the part of the bmw video where you were doing over 100 then was slowing down for the longest tiem and then turned. the slowing part should have been edited out. but overall. not bad for a newbie

I agree you have to look at what you have edited together and decide what do I really need to get the point across. Both videos could have been half the length. Having a shorter video doesn't mean it is a worse video either. The beginning of the Honda video on the highway didn't need to be there at all. Also all the inserts of pictures can and should be cut ot about half the time. Try sitting down and saying I "have" to cut out 1 minute from the video. This gets you in the frame of mind that you only want to keep the important moments, and you can look at all the video shot in a different way. You can get attached to some segments when editing and not want to loose them(trust me i know), but sometimes it is better to not have them in.
Overall not too bad especially when you cut out some stuff. I have never filmed any car stuff but seeing as I was a film student I do have experience. Start using Adobe by the way. The more you play around with it the more you will learn and become more comfortable with it, and your videos will show that too.
Edit: sorry it took me a while to type that I agree with e36_m3_turbo.
Oh yeah and about a minute in I turned the volume down because the music was getting on my nerves.
The music would've gone better with the BMW video had you thrown in some twisties or something a bit more upbeat than flying down a straightaway. If I would've done anything else different with the video, I would've cut the music down a bit more so everyone could hear the engine better.
As for the Honda video, I loved the start of the video where you were driving down the highway or whatever that was. I personally enjoy seeing user-made videos with other cars driving around in the background. Unfortunately though, I have to say the music didn't fit quite as well as it did in the BMW video. The really upbeat driving moments just didn't seem to land right with the music. The only other thing that bothered me (again) was the music drowning out the engine noise.
And of course... adding some
