wow....

Im in an art history class currently... and a life sized pure platinum skull (with real human teeth) completely covered in diamonds with a huge diamond on the forehead (this single diamond was worth $8million) sold for $110 million to a private buyer.

That class is just making me think that artists are a bunch of idiots. That movie didnt help

whatever happened to the kind of art that ya know, actually takes talent to create? im an artist too, and having shit like this considered art is insulting to me. i bet 90 percent of these so called modern artists couldnt draw or paint their way out of a wet paper bag.

i agree, again, in my class my teacher was showing us all sorts of art, a lot of it was good art, but the one that seemed like it took a lot of talent and was very well painted, she said that art historians say that he should not call himself an "artist" because his art was "too easy to understand" and that "everyone could easily and quickly understand it" thats complete bullshit to me.

i guess by that logic michaelangelo and leonardo arent artists either. after all, most of their work i saw didnt have any deep meanings or anything.
