isn't the Touareg and the Cayenne basically the same car? I know the bodys different but beyond that I was under the impressions that they were basically the same in mechanical desgin a features except for a engine options.
they are built off the same platform, but have different sheetmetal, interiors, and engines...and oh yeah, the Cayenne is twice as expensive as a Touareg. And I think the Touareg looks better.

I haven't got my Touareg yet but I did get the V8 in it. That car is going to be my Mom's. My stepdad owns the Cayenne, and my step mom owns the denali. That is the layout of our SUV's... :-) and personally, having driven both, the Cayenne kicks the Touaregs ass in performance and looks. Although, the Cayenne we have has the air suspension and the touareg I drove (not mine because its on order) didn't. Plus the engine is much larger in the Cayenne.
uuuugly to me, I like the 2000-2002 M's the best. That has also got to be the weirdest sounding exhaust I have EVER heard. Sounds like it was bogging down really badly...
No doubt the Cayenne kills the Touareg in performance, but with the W8 the Touareg is pretty good, and I wouldn't buy an SUV for performance. And I still think the VW looks a hell of a lot better than the Porsche, sorry. The Cayenne is ugly.

anyone who buys the cayanne is either stupid or has mone to burn. The VW is the same chassi, and can easily be modified to produce the porsches style power for a few extra grand. I also agree that the VW looks better, the cayanne is kinda nasty.
IM SOOO HAPPY MY DAD JUST PUT A DOWN PAYMENT ON THE NEW 05 M5 i told him he wuold love it. he is REALLY impressed by that video i was too considering how ill be driving his car instead of him
