yes it is... How can you NOT tell? Even if you speed up the tape, the sound will also be sped up, and it will also have the dopplar effect, just at a higher pitch.
The reason it sounds so WEIRD is because it's rotating so damn fast and the engine sounds so weird, combine that with some echo, it creates an odd noise.
Plus, the sound has been encoded into a lossy format at a considerably low sample rate (half of a CD, 22khz) The video and audio has been squeezed into a 243kb stream, considering the video dosn't look that bad, the audio stream had to have been compressed quite low.
They could be lieing about the 200 mph, but I wouldn't doubt if that was true. Either way, that mofo was FLYING.
heh, remember when the dude was circiling around that pole while the car was speeding up? Notice that shiney line that was pointing to the car? apparently they had a wire hooked to the car. Maybe it's a very expensive and odd way to cut that grass they have in the center.
