SHAHAB323IS: and when i turned on the v1 the sunroof opened then it wouldn't close

SEPH559: you have to wire it BEFORE the switch

SEPH559: if it goes up into the sunroof to the motor it's bad

SEPH559: black is almost always ground

SEPH559: then there's a hot wire
SHAHAB323IS: on my buddies we grounded it to a brown ground wire
SEPH559: you have to cut them open to find it
SHAHAB323IS: and tapped the power from the unused universal transmitter power
SHAHAB323IS: well i read that the purple and white wire is the hot wire for the map lights
SEPH559: you need a voltmeter
SHAHAB323IS: but when i tapped that it didn't work and then the lights stopped working
SHAHAB323IS: not to mention the windows stopped working
SEPH559: and you need to take your time to do it right
SEPH559: ok you totally fuxored your wiring dude

SEPH559: whatever place on the wire you cut or whatever you have to repair
SHAHAB323IS: how so
SEPH559: you need a crimping tool and some repair sleeves from radio shack
SEPH559: or at least some solder and shrink tubing
SEPH559: and solder every fucking cut you made
SEPH559: and cover it with shrink tubing
SEPH559: get a heat gun
SEPH559: make sure it's wired exactly how it was before you started
SEPH559: then at least your car will work
SEPH559: the V1 install I'd leave to your dealership's audio mexican

SHAHAB323IS: i used wire tap like crimp connections
SHAHAB323IS: on 4 wire

SEPH559: but you probably used the wrong gauge and cut the wire

SEPH559: there's no other explanation
SHAHAB323IS: ok so what should i do with that
SHAHAB323IS: electrical tape it?
SEPH559: cut them all the way exactly where the crimp was
SHAHAB323IS: i really don't want to put a dab of solder on there
SEPH559: expose the wiring
SHAHAB323IS: ok
SEPH559: twist it together and solder it to keep it from coming apart
SEPH559: and seal it with shrink tubing
SHAHAB323IS: ok
SEPH559: remember you have to put the shrink tubing on the wire before you solder it
SHAHAB323IS: wait what

SEPH559: you have two pieces of wire you're soldering together

SEPH559: if you solder them together, they are one piece _____
SEPH559: the shrink tubing is a tube
SEPH559: there's no way to get it on after they're soldered together
