clearwater is a beach like atmosphere, very fun place lots of activities always going on. For more of a car scene you travel about 30 minutes over to tampa and there's always something going on there. Any specific questions, feel free to ask.. I lived 10 minutes from there so fairly familiar with it
Clearwater is the headquarters for the Church of Scientology.
The traffic sucks, but the Tampa area is a nice place in general. 3 million people in the tri county area. It can be expensive to live there compared to other parts of Florida, but not as pricy as California. The weather is nice but very humid in the summer. Plenty of BMW cars in that area.
I like St Pete. Older homes and folks. Better community! Redington Beach is casual. Tampa, too crowded for me. Traffic, just learn to deal with it. I don't of an area that dosen't have it. I'm in Orlando and the BMW (www.cfbmw.com) scence here is growing. We have an Auto-Cross April 9th. Tampa has a good group as well, Bay Bimmers. I know Miami is doing well. You'll like it here. It is really nasty *blank* humid but that's why we have AC.
Good luck and enjoy the hurricane state. Sorry, I meant the sunshine state. That what is says on our tags.
Great cars, great women, and great tax laws...lol Hey, no annual property tax on your rides and no state taxes -- that's reason enough to move. Plus its a homestead state so if you ever go bankrupt you can keep your house...lol
I lived in Central Florida for 3 years and I'm always visiting friends in the area. I think you'll like Clearwater. Of course, everything (and every place) is what you make it. Good luck.
