It looks pretty well balanced to me 4.4k posts in E21-E30, 12.2K in E36 (obviously the most popular car bought, 'round these parts) and 4.7K in E46-E90. If you combined any I dont know which two would be beneficial to combine, unless you just grouped them all together as one 3-series like the 5-ers. Even the people viewing there is currently twice as many people viewing the E36.

There's not enough traffic in there to warrant splitting them up. I've seen some bimmer sites that have one section per body style and some of those older body style forums (i.e. E21, E12, E23, etc.) aren't hardly touched.
