I build high end composites for some companies and I can say this. Building quality c/f stuff isnt exactly easy. Even in a vacuum form process you have no control on how the weave will set and the placement of material. Sorry but the process in which we build c/f stuff isnt bullet proff. Expect flaws when you buy cf, or else pay someone, like me, thousands and I will make you a flawless set(remember youll have to pay me for cad time, machine time and composite time.) Or pay someone like VIS with the essentials to make those parts but with flaws for a fraction less. One thing you dont have to put up is with shitty customer service. Id call back and complain and take it up with the highest person available, if that doesnt solve it, try to reach his boss and go on from there.

Its a lose/lose situation? Flawed part or dealing with shit fucks?

just another update.......since 07-17-2005 (last post in this thread) its now almost christmas and not a word or reply to anything ive sent to them.

even if the product was perfect this type of business practice is a joke.

feb 13 2006! coming close to a year from when i first recieved my order.. they claim not to know anything about my problem ,and will not follow up with anything...

no, but the main concern right now is the big chips in the clearcoat on the top edge of the trunk, i have to fill these in before water forces its way into it and ruins the whole thing

Whats happening? So are you forced to keep the trunk?
I know one guy on bimmerforums has a cf trunk from vis(clumpymold) and
I think his only problem was fitment.

yup forced to keep the trunk. its like i was never a customer. fitmet on mine was off, but least of my worries , i was able to correct 80% of the fitment issues.
