How long since you changed your old one? My point being that you will notice a slight improvement with a new stock air filter
I'm about to change my air filter but decided against K&N when I read a report about them - the report said that they work well when they function properly, there is no doubt about that, but if the oils in them are allowed to dry out you may as well not have a filter in there
Now, I dont live in a very dry country (to say the least!) but I wouldnt want to take the chance - the stock air filters are meant to work as well as K&N - getting contaminants in my block is the last thing I want to do!
But I hear ya, now try the debaffle and you will notice an improvement to - slight but an improvement - the change in engine note and volume makes it worth doing alone!
the stock air filter sucks ass,its paper filter which doesnt allow as much air through as a k&n would, if your worried about the oils drying up, jsut make sure you keep it oiled

well im not sure where your oil filter would be, it'l either be underneath ur car, and its a cylinder, kinda looks like a pop can screwed into the block, and that'l be it, or its in a cylinder on the top of your engine, and its got 1 nut in the center of it, its pretty hard to miss, just unscrew that nut and take the cap off and your oil filter should be right there and then you just pull it out.
