But recall that not all 3 series have that duct
Speaking of recalls, anyone interested in this product should read this first.

this is from Renn-Sport; they are very reputable:

"....The quality and fabrication of GruppeM products is second to none, they do heavy R&D on all products prior to release. Anyone who knows my tuning philosophy of cars knows I wouldn't put anything on that would have any possiblitity of damage, the comments you're hearing are merely retaliation - GruppeM "NA" was never a direct importer of GruppeM products. They were graymarketing product in from Europe. GruppeM Japan has finally stepped in and shut down their operation, so this is merely a last ditch effort to try and hurt RENNSport, the first, only, and official distributor for GruppeM european applications in North America...."

I'm not saying anything derogatory towards Rennsport (I'm sure they are good guys), but you have to wonder what would make more sense. A company going around saying things that are untrue and will in no way help there own cause, or a company doing damage control so they dont' incur a bunch of returned products?

Either way, just wanted you to have the heads up.

Actually, it does help their own cause by devaluing another company's products.. sure they're not going to steal business away from their competitor, but they will damage the competitor.. basically, they're saying "if we can't sell it for $600, no one can sell it... especially rennsport for $500"

i'm not defending gruppem or rennsport because I love em or anything.. althought I do like Rennsport because they're all about customer service.. in fact, I'm actually in the process of deciding whether or not to switch my gruppem for a conforti (long story).. still deciding..

i figure i could actually sell my gruppem for the cost of a new conforti.. or close to..

Not to argue about something neither of us KNOW for sure, but I doubt GruppeM would do anything that bascially had no positives. SUre Rennsport may loose business, but it's not like GruppeM could pick up those customers. That's just bad business sense. Not ruthless, stupid.
