Just bought me some sylvania silverstar's and IMO they are well worth the money, so if your on a very tight budget and are looking to upgrade the look of your headlights, you should definately consider getting silverstars

after

im sure you've heard that the pictures don't really serve the acual increase in brighness/whiteness justice, but they really don't, i was much more impressed in person than looking at these pictures now

you can get them from just about anywhere. ive heard that even wal-mart has them, so just go to the closest auto store by you and most likely they will have them. if you have stock headlights (e36) you will want 9006.

here is what they look like [attachmentid=14703]

The more i look at those pictures the more i realize how much they don't represent what i saw in person. The pictures make the stock bulbs look better than they acually are and make the new silverstars look worse than they really are. Maybe its my crappy digital camera.

Yeah, I had the same reaction when I posted my photos, so I'll vouch for you! The Silverstars really do look a whole heck of a lot better than the stocks--as pimpin328is has been saying, a lot more than the photos can do justice.

I just picked them up after talking about them all day.. i have stock headlights, and they look sweet.. now i want to run out and get them for my high beam even though i dont use em that much, but i like things to be consistant.. I highly reccomend them!

one question? Can i buy them for my fog lights too, or do i have to buy all new foglights.?

so i went out today to autozone to get the silverstars...when i was there it ended up that my neighbor works there, so i got him to hook me up a little bit. no half off like you pimpin, but he gave me the high beams and the low beams for 70 bucks with tax (compared to 107). i installed them tonight and all i can say is wow, what a difference. i went for a little drive with them, there is this little windy road up into the mountains right up the street, and before when i drove that road the low beams made it seem like i saw not too far ahead, now i can drive that fine without feeling that i should be using the hi beams. the corner lights and the fogs now bother me, they didn't have of them there so i think im just going to order at least the fogs offline or soemthing so they all match. ill try and get some pics up when my camera's batteries charge up.

update, got bored, looked up the parking light delete mod, (have clears in the corners right now and so they glow yellow, looks like shit with the white headlights on) went outside right now 11-pm, like 35 degrees outside, and hooked that up, looks a ton better. going to go try and find some of the silverstar fogs tomorrow after class and then take some pictures.

ps - pimpin - you are right the pictures don't do justice at all, very good bulbs for someone on a budget
