Nice Johnny! I see you finally received your new staggered mesh types from bavaria autosport. The rear fenders look really full now. Have you had any problems with rubbing? I think 18's were a real good choice.

Thanks..... BimmerE39, glad to hear you got your issue resolved!
Rubbing slightly on the outer edge of the right rear quarter......was told that the right rear leans slightly lower on the e36......so, I called TMS & asked for some friendly advice......they recommended using a 15mm spring hat.....so, I will be removing the right rear H&R sport spring & installing the 15mm spring hat, tomorrow morning....... Wish me luck.....
Thanks..... BimmerE39, glad to hear you got your issue

I sort of got my issue resolved. I actually found out on Tuesday that both my Bilstein sport struts had play between the piston rod and the body of the strut. Unfortunately, I had to order another strut from TMS and now have to get the new one installed on Monday. I'm going to send both struts back to TMS on Monday and pray to god they reimburse me the $400 by Friday they now owe me for faulty products.
This whole dilema has cost me too muh of
my hard earned money and Im not particularly happy about it. Right now I'm on my iPhone so I'll tell you the details tomorrow when I get home from work. I think you'll get a kick out of my situation.

Now that I'm back on my computer at home and not typing on my iPhone I can fully explain my headache.
My mechanic told me that my front right strut had excessive amounts of play between the piston rod and body off the strut. I then called Turner Motorsport to see what they were going to do for me as I purchased the Bilstein/H&R kit through them.
They told me to remove the strut from my car and ship it to them so they can look at it and see if there is a problem. To that I asked the obvious question, "how long would that take to do?" Their response, "it could take up to a week, but only if we can warranty it in house." Confused, I ask what they mean by warranty in house. Turner's response, "if we have to send it to Bilstein it could take an additional 4 weeks." To that, I said "that's unacceptable." They told me the other option was to purchase a new strut, put it on my car, and send what I deemed to be a faulty strut back to them. Then the will refund my money if they can warranty it in house, if not it would take an additional 4 weeks through Bilstein. Basically, it was the same shitty story as the first.
I take option #2, because it's the most convenient and will allow me to drive my car instead of leave it sitting at the shop on a lift. I receive my box without any return information for the "defective" strut. A little bit pissed off I call Turner for it.
On Tuesday of this week, my mechanic slaps the new one on and cuts me a break on the price and does it for $100. I leave the shop, drive home, and start hearing equally worse sounds coming from the left side now (originally it was the right side with the issue).
I called Turner on Wednesday for a second replacement so I can get the left side taken care of. As of now, they will owe me $400 for the replacement struts.
Hopefully, Turner can warranty the struts in house. It's been a weird problem but I'm sure I'm not the first to deal with it. This whole situation has been very frustrating. However, I'll be happy when it's finally taken care of.
Here's a photo of my car since this is actually a photo thread and not a thread for bitching about BS...
Very nice shots....... without the date stamp.....

Hope everything works out.......How long ago did you purchase those Bilsteins? Very suprising.....when I put my Bilsteins in, I removed Monroes & I will tell you, the quality was noticable right out of the box...... the thickness on the Bilsteins housing & piston were far more superior than the Monroes... Maybe your struts were made during Octoberfest in Germany & they had one too many......

I purchased the Bilsteins just over a year ago. Accord to my mechanics and my own records, I've put a little more than 9,000 miles on them. I'm surprised as well and a little disjointedness but what can you do about it? Anything manufactured in mass quantities is bound to have the potential for manufacturing defects. I love the struts a whole lot and they changed my car completely along with the H&R springs. I'm just hoping Turner reimburses me quickly, that's really my only concern.
