Talking

Here are some early pics of my new bimmer, this is after about 8 hours of detailing...I used eagle one nanowax. Its a 96 5 speed 328i with 152k miles on the odometer. Full maitenece records in the glovebox, now I need to resort them out to see what needs to be done, if anything.

hand washed twice

hand polish & wax

orbitial buffer polish & wax

Eagle one window cleaner inside & out

Mothers leather cleaner

turtle wax leather treatment conditioner

not bad for $5400 right?

Needs a new front emblem, nose panel + grills...working on getting those after I get this car registered and ready to go!! you can see tons of rock chips on the nose panel, yuck.

Man I love driving stick,
this car makes my old auto 4spd Merc 2.3L seem like a ford pinto(well it does start in 2nd gear, wierd Mercedes auto trannies)

Well, still needs alot of work, can't be done in one day, by just one guy. As you can see, interior is almost perfect now after conditioning. (damnit, previous owner drilled holes for the stupid phone hookup) ghead

lets see, need to detail engine compartment, clean mats, vacuum....

These are crap pics taken with the flash, will get much better pics later..

Dang dude - it looks like you did good. Nice car! I kind of wish I'd waited around for a 328, but oh well.

heh, yep, this is the same car I've been rambling on about in that one post...guess I overexagerated quite a bit.

anyway, just checked records, needs the following done:

fuel filter change (no prior change recorded!?)

air filter change

spark plugs probably (no prior change recorded either)

air microfilter overdue (last change at 79k miles)

oil change (crap!!! previous owner went to cert. indpt bmw mechanic and they installed FRAM filters, wtf?!)

got my first kill today too, look for it in driving tales

here are some new pics, more will come later but a cloud is coming and its going to rain, so back in the garage it goes.

you can see my current car, a 1988 mercedes 190e 2.3L I4, not a bad looking car at all, but severely lacks in performance.

I want to drive damnit, but I need to get rid of the mercedes and get some insurance for bimmer first.
