I know what an M50 is, I know what an M52 is, but I don't think I know what an M51 is. Is that a Europe-only diesel option or something?

M51's are the diesel engines for the E36 325TD, 525TDS and the 725TDS
M52 is the enige for the E39 528i
Before the M51 there were the M47 (320D) and the M41 (318TDS)
after the M51 the M57 came as the 530D

Thanks! I'm just plain ignorant about BMW diesel engine codes...since we don't get them over here.
