i think the 318 owners sometimes feel they have inferior engines, so they have to make it seem like thier car isnt anything less than the 2.5/2.8's...preyash, ive been in a 318, that shit couldnt pass 120ish, with a DASC, ur pushing ur luck around 140 if even that...i dont wana call BS becuz sometimes shit happens and who knows, but even 318 owners dont believe u which means proof or ban....

i dont think 318 engines themselves are inferior, but the cars they are put into are too heavy for them at almost 2900 lbs. the e30 318 had the same engine as the first e36 ones but it was considerably quicker because it was lighter.

318 doing 130, not gonna happen, plus even if it did, you would have to wait a few days to get there

Have you ever driven a high HP luxury vehicle? Theres something about the whole experience, that you miss out on, when its so low hp you can't overpass the riced out civics.. kills some of the, grandeur.

Go test drive a new 330 or 545 and you'll see what I mean.

yes they are. they run a mid 9 to 10 second 0-60. thats about as fast as a 4 cylinder '87 taurus wagon. and about the e30, lots of people like the classic look, including myself.
