Ive always enjoyed these types of transformation threads. My car cant hold a candle to most members here but I thought Id try at it:
Ive owned my car for a little over 2 years now and while I havent done any HUGE major changes, I do believe its come quite a ways:
I bought the car in October of 2006 in MN. It had 98,000 miles on it when I purchased it cosmetically bone stock. I bought the car with a UUC M5 clutch, UUC LTW flywheel, and 3.38LSD.
I dont have any pics of it being 100% stock tho .
I already had DEPOs and AE's for it waiting for when I brought it home and this is what she looked like in her most stock form:
(ewww my bumper used to look bad :rofl)
Then in March of 2007 I finally dropped her a bit with H&R sports and Bilsteins, and a Magnaflow exhaust. I also added smoked corners a little later.
May of 2007 I added black grills, Cosmos V2 CAI (not pictured) and smoked tails and 6000k HID. My tails are one of my favorite mods ive done to the car so far
In April 2008 I ran over a dead deer and that finally decomissioned the terrible dented, rock chipped bumper I bought the car with.
I got a new bumper, fogs, and underpanel from DDM Tuning and finally added splitters that I had sitting around for a LONG time.
I also added a ZHP knob, and an aluminium ///M pedal set:
In June 2008 I added ECS 10mm spacers in front to give me as much healthy stance as I could at the time,an M50 manifold (BIG diff!), and the OEM Xbrace (not pictured)
Then when winter hit and the car spend its first winter in hibernation, I did what I wanted for a long long time and got Coilovers. I picked up the DDM coilovers with
350/450 I also took this as an opportunity to refresh many of my bushings as well, and add slotted rotors:
I sold my front 7.5 LTW to buy 2 rears to get 8.5's all around. I never got to mount this setup as I made a trade for SSR GT2's 18x8.5 all around.
It was VERY VERY hard to part with my LTW but I felt it was time for a change.
Everything finally went on this week and this is how she sits as of today: (I know I JUST whored these sorry )
In the near future I am looking to upgrade to larger spacers, a new steering wheel, and a few other subtle touches. By next summer I hope to have cams and some other engine goodies:devillook
then I think I can honestly say I will be done modding:shifty
