What's the difference?

Whats the difference between a Mercedes SL600 and a Mercedes SL55 AMG? On the sites I've seen them on they have all the same specs?

The SL600 has a V-12 and the SL55 AMG has a V-8. If I remember correctly the hp is about the same but the torque is very differant.

i believe the V8 supercharged is 493hp. this is just from memory.

yea i know the sl55 is a supercharged v8 with 493 hp, that weighs like 4400 pounds, but i keep gettin different stats on the sl600, ive seen twin turbo v12 with 493 horsepower, v12 with 493 horsepower, and then supercharged v8 with 493 hp, hopefully if weight is the difference, the sl600 weighs less, becasue the sl55 is close to an SUV in weight, its a monster.

i know for a fact that the sl600 is 6 liter v12. i dunno if its twin turbo. the s600 sedan is i believe twin turbo that can do 1/4 in the 11-12 seconds

sl600 has 493 HP, the same as the sl55 amg, but it has more torque....however it weighs more and probably can't handle as well.
