if i made a. manifold for lack of another word. ontop of the carb, and a tubo blowing into that box, would it work?

i dont think so. because. well. a little but inefficient. becasue the throttle body still only lets so much air through. but yea. it might work. i dont know

i dont think you get what im talking about. as far as i know theres no such thing as throttle body on a carb.
the doors, butterflys, what ever you wanna call them open as you push the throttle, dirrect linkage turbo or no turbo they will open the same, alowing a greater volume of air to be pulled into the venturi to mix with fuel and go to the pistons. so unless my entire concept of a carb is wrong... i dont see why this wouldnt work.
Added: i found a site where they did it to a mini, so i think it can be done

naw if i did it, it would be on my spitfire, cause its easyer to get teh right sized turbo ( smaller engine) so practicly anything would push enough air.

i've seen it done on a 2002 once, but if I add a turbo to mine I am going with FI.
I know it works. It is pretty easy because there is no computer to mess with since the carb will adjust the amount of fuel being added to the engine depending on how much air your turbo is pushing through.
Note that you probably won't be able to or want to run too much boost. Keep the turbo small since the small triumph engine will not spin a large turbo and the carb might run into some issues with loads of boost. But you should still be able to squeeze some nice power out of it
I'm sure you will, but make sure to look at your compression ratio so that you don't blow things apart.
ya i wouldnt give too much boost. im just looking for a little extra power, and since its a small engine i can snag almost any turbo i can find and use it. this is all me pondering, no garentees.

im curious to know how you plan on having the turbo spool? usually the exhaust fumes are what fuel the turbine.... i dont really see how it would work.... any more info?! lol

well for the sake of im too lazy to draw it i didnt in clude the headers in the pic, the turbo would be hooked to the headers/exuahst manifold like always.
