So I read about the CEO of Tesla 9 months ago, and wanted to check out the cars. (Guy was entrepreneur of the year) There was no dealership till July, so checking them out was difficult, although i think they still had a garage in San Carlos CA.

Anyway, went to the showroom yesterday.

0-60 3.9 seconds. Thing looks pretty slick.

$120XXX with all the options.

Anyone else intrigued by these things? All electric. 4 hour charge and 200 mile range.

limited to 125mph..but im sure that can be worked on.

1700 pounds. 40/60 ditrbution. Lotus rubber.

It's probably the best all electric car out so far.

They're having financial trouble, and won't be able to make a car for the general (read, non-rich) public unless they get some miraculous influx of investment (I think they were saying they need $40M).

Anyhow, pretty cool and exciting. I am a supporter of full-electric, so lets see how they do.
