whats the deal with 4matic? does that just mean that its 4 speed automatic?

I live in great neck, wat u expect kid. I'm not riiich, but my dad makes a good living thank g-d. The lease on my car runs around 580 and my mom's is 1200. My dad's G35 is 400 - 600 a month, not exactly sure.
