Interior looks great, not like the rumoured SSV interior. Don’t like the generic Pontiac steering wheel. Should have kept the classier OEM Holden steering wheel.
The back also looks great. SSV type lamps and S2000 type boot extension thingy.
The side looks normal. Not too many add ons which is great
The front looks classy but thankfully not your typical overdone Pontiac styling.
No comparison, but for a Pontiac? It's a huge step up from anything else they have made. I still laugh everytime i see a kid in a GTP. All the kids had them in high school 3.8 supercharged and would get stomped all day long by my 3.2 inline.
Engineering is no where comparable! I remember in high school I had a 86 Nissan pick up with a hopped up nap z engine and i used to woop the sh*t out of 5.0 stangers!! Those were the days!!
With some slightly smaller wheels in maybe a 5 spoke pattern and droped about an inch it would look much better. I need something with an american V8 again. My M50 E30 is ok but I miss having the power to smoke the tires from a 2nd gear roll and having the back end get loose on a 3-4 shift when its damp out at 90 MPH. One time in my Z28 I spun the tires through 5th and into 6th in the rain

Here are some pictures of a G8 GT with some work put in. It's currently at Ewing Buick Pontiac GMC in Plano, TX. It has custom wheels, magnaflow exhaust, and full pedders suspension. The car pictured has about 8K worth of work done to it, but a stock G8 GT for about 32-33K with 361 HP is a pretty good bang for your buck.
