Ok, I really love both these cars but can't decide on which to get .. either a 90-94 nissan 300zx or a 94+ 325is. Can you guys tell me about how long these engines in each car last approx because I would be getting a used one with 100+k.
Hmmmm.. I really like the 300zx's though even if they arent twin turbos :/ But the 325is is so sexxxxy. You guys know anythin about engine longevity for these cars?
oh well the e36 325 can last long into the 200's with proper care, the 300 non turbo can last just as long, it might hav more go wrong with it, but not that major of stuff, if you get tt the turbos will start to wear and barely boost y 150
I found a 1991 nissan 300zx twin turbo black w/charcoal leather interior for $5900
Is this a good price for this car and will these turbos be bad soon/need to be replaced along wiht the engine which has 131,000 miles. How long will it last is what I want to know. Somebody said the turbos go bad after 150,000 miles...
If the ZX is a twin-turbo, definitely. If not, I don't know. I pulled about 3-4 car-lengths on my friend's N/A 300ZX, in my 240SX. His drivetrain is acting funny though, so that might explain it.
Anyway, even if it is an N/A, buy a TT engine and put it in there. All 300ZXs that came with the TT engine in America were t-tops -- and if you buy a 300ZX without the t-tops (slicktop), and then put a TT engine in it, it'd be pretty damn rare.

Get a 92 or above. They changed the brakes that year. More reliable, more stopping power. The turbos will last very long, depending on where you buy it from.
If you get it from some 19 y/o punkass, he probably drove the shit out of it.
