I know this is a BMW forum, but I am thinking over to sell my 318is and get an alfa romeo spider 3.0 v6
I am very pleased with my BMW but I long for something new (If i had the money I would keep the bimmer)
What are your opinions about this purchase?

You know what makes a bimmer fun to own? Doing things to it. You can't do that with a spyder. Keep the bimmer.

Mmm... beautiful grille. Can't stand convertibles, though. They look quite tacky when the inevitably cheap-looking hood/top is replaced. I also tend to make a lot of assumption about the kind of people cruising around in topless cars (convertibles or otherwise), too (not like you really care what my impression is, but they do convey a different image to most people, I'd say).
