Lexus LS

What do you guys think of the new Lexus LS that can parallel park itself?
Good invention, or just laziness for the driver?

I think the automatic parking deal is just a gimmick. However, you must consider the target market: old, affluet people. Many old people have stiff necks, which makes it hard for them to turn around as much as you need to parallel-park. In general, I like the LS. It has been a great vehicle since 1989 and I don't see them slowing down.

I think the LS gives the buyer a lot for the money. I doubt I will ever be interested in actually buying one, but I have a really good opinion of them.

About the looks/design, however: it is supossed to be based on the new Lexus L FInnesse style, but it still kind of looks like a 7 series from the side, with 5 series tail lights. At least it doesn't look like a shamelessly ripped off MB anymore.

Good thread, by the way

BMW has an autoparking gadget too. There's a youtube video demonstrating it. I have the original if you want it.
