Was saving up for a CBR but my buddy was letting it go for cheap and the car is mint aside from a little surface rust on the DS fender.
2000 VW GTI. 1.8T 5spd Fully loaded ( and it all works.. mwahhahaha)
only down side is it has 250K miles
But this summer when I bring the M out of hibernation I think I'm gonna rebuild the top end. Possibly chip it and maybe exhaust after that. Struts and springs are coming this week !!!

im fairly impressed at how peppy it is for such a little power house .... I was leaving a gas station the other day and I didnt' even mat it.. we hit a little boost and heard the tires squealing.. i tapped that dash board and said simmer down now.. haha .. not really but i was thinking that in my head.. Not an M car .. but it will be a nice winter car.. and icant even call it a beater because its really in nice shape.. be nice to get a chip and exhaust for it just for shits and giggles but that will be after the rebuild

Keep up with the oil changes in the VW. The 1.8T can develop issues with old oil. Was the timing belt recently changed? But it sounds like it's running nicely!

yea the Timing belt was changed at 215K my vdub friends say change it ever 100k so its got some time left on it.. the only things that didn't work on the car was the hatch mechanism wasn't working so the hatch wasn't able to be opened. and the windshield wipers were seized up because apparently they didn't use them they just rain-x'd and drove wit hthe water running off the windshield.. so the first day I had it I investigated the locking mechanism was corroded sprayed her with some lube.. works like a champ.. then I took the windshield mech. out cleaned it up neverseized it and now they work great.. The oil is golden looks like a brand new airfilter.. cabin filter needs replaced... and one thing I cannot get over is the smell of crayons in the car.. apparently it a MK4 thing IDK .. It the best 2000 I've ever spend.. and even though its not an M it fun to drive and will keep a smile on my face while the M is out of commission..

LOL funny but I had to share I got one vortex.. ( VDUB site) I asked them to give me some advice so that I could keep it running and they are all giving me shit because it has 250k miles on it.. And people said the BMW crowd were a bunch of assholes.. jesus
