I'm Getting A 02 Wrx!

So check this out. My mechanic's brother works at a subaru dealership in Ca. Some guy wrecked blew his engine in a his 02 Turbo WRX and when the engine blew he lost control and wrecked his car and totaled it. the engine was covered under subaru's warranty so it was fixed and replaced after he bought the car back from the insurance company. So the guy is now going to sell the car for 3500 bucks. It needs 4 rims/tires, windsheild, rocker panel and 2 doors. My guess no more then 5000 in damage. I'm going to get all of the info tomorrow and possibly might fly down to purchase the car on monday. this will be a perfect winter car in WA :P I'm stoked.

you should get a mechanic that isn't related to the guy to check the car out and make sure it doesn't have any structural damage. it could turn out to be more of a hassle than a deal. just my 2 cents anyways, im always wary about wrecked cars. good luck with that.

already done. only structural damage is one bent control arm. the rest is body
