I live my life one quarter mile at a time, and for those 23 or more seconds I'm free.
My advice would be to keep your E36, unless you're planning on buying another BMW
I don't care for any of those cars you mentioned: In my opinion, the Celica is ugly, the Prelude is...plain, and the Eclipse breaks too much.
What type of E36 do you have, and why do you want to sell it?

NO wonder man. I really feel your pain. I love BMW's but the 318i has one of the shitiest power to weight ratio. Not because of the engine, but because the car is too damn heavy for a small low reving 4 banger. Simply update to a 328i 5speed and you will notice world of difference.
328i 5 speed is way faster then 2 gen celicas or any gen unless we are talking modified turbo. Also, the only nice eclipses are the 2nd gen with turbo and AWD. But those are hard to find and even if you get right one, you will be always worring about the tranny. 2nd gen eclipses had one of the worst tranny of all times. And that became more obvious when, they couldn't handle the power of the AED Turbo eclipses and keptbreaking, even under factory warranty.
Also, they are quite famous for CRANK WALKING. Really, don't believe ME. I can get you in touch with some hard core DSM fans who had same problems. But their love is too much DSM, to go toward DTM.
Lastly, if you really wanna get out the DTM and go DSM, i would recommend the preludes only. But again they also have the problem of the poor transmissions. As a matter of fact, majority of them have been replaced under the warranty. Don't get the prelude without the VTEC period.
So keep the search and keep these decisions in mind before you buy a car.
dude, dont consider anything outside of a BMW right now. im not baggin on other brands, I just think that you should stick with BMW, cuz you have already owned one, if anything with all of our info and knowledge, Im sure we could find you an excellent car.

If you sell your E36, and get one of those pieces of shit (compared to e36) I am going to find you and beat the living shit out of you. If you sell your E36, its better to get an E46 330i or 330ci or maybe even an M3

hey everyone, what do you think a completely stock E30 M3 costs? take in the fact of how hard it is to find a completely stock, not messed with E30, probably like 25k? with under 75k miles.
