| 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG Officially Revealed With Impressive New Interior Quote:
Having already announced some of the updates to the new 2012 C63, Mercedes-Benz has now released complete info on all of the upgrades for its high-performance sports sedan.
Engine output stays the same at 451-hp, however, an AMG Performance Package can up that number to 481-hp, and includes red bake calipers, a carbon fiber rear wing and a limited slip differential. Transmission upgrades for 2012 include the addition of the 7-speed MCT unit from the SL63, with quicker shifts and a new ‘controlled efficiency’ mode that delivers improved fuel economy of 10 percent.
A long list of other upgrades have been included, with an updated AMG sports suspension with more rear camber and a larger rear sway bar.
Outside the car gets a revised front fascia and rear diffuser along with LED lighting and a new design for the AMG wheels, while the biggest changes are reserved for the interior. For 2012, the C63 gets an all new dash derived from the CLS, complete with a TFT display in the center of the gauges, plus a new three-spoke AMG steering wheel and aluminum shift paddles. Those in search of the ultimate luxury can opt for one of four one-tone or three two-tone disgno leather interiors.
In keeping with Mercedes’ focus on safety, the C63 now gets a long list of equipment now available on the S-Class, E-Class and CLS, such as: Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Attention Assist, Speed Limit Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Pre-Safe Brake, Parktronic with parking guidance and a backup camera.
Finally, the C63 also gets the latest version of Mercedes’ Command telematics system, Command Online, which allows users to access the internet when parked and even download a Google Maps route from your PC to the car’s navigation system.
