| M3 for sale in Salem Up for sale is our 1995 BMW E36 M3. This car is one of a kind and there isn't another like it in North America. Why is it a one of a kind M3?
My father bought the car at 17k miles from a gentleman who spent time in Germany with the Air Force. He purchased it there and brought it back with him. It is a US Legal M3, not a grey market car so there are no odd registration or titling problems, and currently has an Oregon title. It ha been in Oregon since July of this year and before that it was a South West car living in New Mexico and Arizona.
Now for the cool stuff. The car is Daytona Violet Metallic, a beautiful deep purple color. Everyone who has ever seen it loves it. It is a very rare color for any year E36 M3, but it was never offered in the US for the 95 model year. It was however offered in Europe so that is how we have a 95 in DVM.
Beside the unique exterior, we also have a unique interior. The seats are what are referred to as a Vader seat. They are non-power and upholstered in suede with cloth inserts. I believe all US M3's came with power and leather and these are more similar to what came in the Light Weight M3.
Now for the upgrades. The car is relatively stock on the outside. It does have the cleanest looking rear spoiler you will ever see on an M, a custom one off made from a later model 3 series spoiler. It is low profile and fits the body lines perfectly. It is what BMW should have done. The car then has the European Red and Clear tail lights, clear side marker lights, and clear corner lights. The wheels are non-staggered 17" BBS RK with almost new Dunlop tires. I do have the original MINT BMW motorsport wheels sitting in the BBS boxes and are included. It also has a matching factory full size spare and the tire has never been on the ground. From all I can tell, it does sit a bit lower than a stock US M3, probably some other European related difference. Additionally, it has Racing Dynamics sway bars front and rear. The brakes are upgraded with Zimmerman drilled rotors and Mintex C-Tech pads front and rear. I recently installed a B&M short shifter as well. The windows are tinted to a reasonable and legal level using 3M film. The stereo system is few years old but still spectacular. It features a Clarion ProAudio head unit, 12 disc changer, DSP unit running directly via fiber optic cable from the changer. There are two ProAudio 10" subs in the trunk and everything is powered by a multi-channel A/D/S/ amp.
The condition is almost perfect. I would rate it a 9.5 out of 10. Better than most any 10 year old car, there may be a tiny flaw somewhere but you will have to look hard to find it. It has never been wrecked or abused. The front bumper, hood, and fenders were recently repainted using Glasurit paint by the best paint and body shop in Metro Phoenix and was only done to repair the rock chips it had from its life in the sandy south west.
Mechanically it has been well maintained, Dealer serviced, and in excellent condition. It had been maintained using BMW Motorsport Synthetic Oil (the expensive stuff) and has a K&N air filter.
It is at just under 113k miles right now and 90k of them are highway miles as my father was a sales manager covering Texas and New Mexico. Since we have had it, my wife has driven it to and from Pharmacy School, and then to work after graduation. She loves it and it is her baby, but now that we are in Oregon it is time we put her in something with all wheel drive.
This is starting to get long, so if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to call (503)585-0515 and ask for Mike or Libby. I also have pictures I could e-mail if you would like to see it.
We are asking $15k but are negotiable. We really want it to go to someone who will appreciate it and take care of it. It is truly a special car. |
