Bmw Group Reports November And Year-To-Date Sales
Woodcliff Lake, NJ – December 1, 2005... The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI brands combined) reported November sales of 26,844 vehicles, an increase of 11 percent over the 24,095 vehicles sold the same month last year. The BMW Group also reported year-to-date sales of 278,120 vehicles, up 4 percent over the 266,819 vehicles sold in the same period in 2004. BMW Brand BMW reported monthly sales of 23,673 vehicles, a 14 percent increase over the 20,732 sold in November 2004. Year-to-date, BMW brand sales were up 2 percent, to 239,736 compared to 234,597 in the same period last year. BMW Automobile Sales Monthly sales of BMW automobiles were up 44 percent, to 18,419 cars compared to 12,796 sold in November 2004. Year-to-date, automobile sales were up 3 percent, with 177,323 automobiles sold compared to 171,488 in the same period a year ago. BMW Sports Activity Vehicle Sales SAV sales were down 34 percent for the month to 5,254 vehicles, compared to 7,936 vehicles sold in November 2004. Year-to-date, sales of BMW’s two SAV models are flat – 62,413 vehicles compared to 63,109 in the same period of 2004. Certified Pre-owned Monthly sales of Certified Pre-owned vehicles were up 5 percent, to 5,550 vehicles compared to the 5,298 vehicles sold in the same month last year, making it the best November on record. Year-to-date, BMW CPO sales were up 3 percent, to 66,791 vehicles over 65,029 for the same period a year ago. MINI Brand MINI Automobiles Year-to-date sales of MINI automobiles have surpassed the 36,036 reported for the entire calendar year 2004. For the first eleven months of 2004, MINI USA reported sales of 38,384 cars, compared to 32,222 cars in the same period a year ago, an increase of 19 percent. The division also reported monthly sales of 3,171 cars compared to 3,363 cars sold in November of 2004, a decrease of 6 percent.
