from what it looks like the RS4 and the e92 M3 both have the same 0-60 times of 4.8. it also looks like the RS4 makes more peak torque, although im not sure how that compares to the M3s ..what was it.. 80% of its max torque over the rpm range until like 6500 or something like that?

BMWs 4.0L V8 - 420hp/295 ft-lbs

Audis 4.2L V8 - 420hp/317 ft-lbs

both 0-100km in 4.8

the RS4 weighs nearly 2 tons...and when i say nearly 2 tons i dont mean 3600 lbs i mean 3957lbs.
im not sure how much the new M3 weighs but im going to assume its around the 335i (coupe) weight of 3571lbs.

Im guessing that the M3 will be faster on a 1/4 mile.
If i remember the e46 M3 vs. the S4, the M3 was faster on a straight line, but couldnt keep up with Audi's "quattro" in the turns. Im betting that BMW's new M3 will likely beat the RS4..especially if thats what they had in their sights the whole time...besides... who in their right mind would drive an overglorified jetta

Thank you for the link. Yeap, that's the car, looks like the Infinity G35.
I wish BMW had a super car on sale now.

im sure its a dandy fine car, however the money is better spent elsewhere.

I guess audi's "ultimate execution" of an engine is 100hp/liter... definitely not shabby.

however research tells me the price of the R8 will be in the 80-110k range... priced against the M6, a sexier, faster car.

///M power.

**UPDATE**

new poll results allow me to rightfully change the statistics of Audi-driving men.

10/10 men who drive Audi's either admitted to, or have been seen having sexual relations with other men.
