used this forum as a help desk on several projects and now im lookin to get some questions answered here and there. everyone seems very courteous and im excitied to join! 92' 325i is my first car and i want it to be my last. been driving it for about 9 months now with few hiccups but great times. My first question is on the gas it takes. ive been putting in premium unleaded gasoline which is like 92 octane i think. ive had to pay for some gas lately and i praise my parents for paying for my gas untill now. if i put regular unleaded in the tank, would i experience hp decreases or changes in the engine?

I don't think that your engine will suffer at all for the change, but try it out by measuring the mileage you get from two tanks of PULP, then a two tanks of regular ULP. Look at both the mpg & $/mile from the two fuels, then ask yourself if noticed any change in performance, and if you did, is it worth the extra $$ to you?
