I've been thinking of moving from the Miata and this new 135i is quite interesting. I've never included BMW in my vehicle considerations, mostly due to the costs. I'm planning on lurking here for a bit, soak up some knowledge and see how the critter shakes out.
Maybe in a few months I'll be able to make a change in my sig line.

lol nice miata you got there.... friend had a silver one only it was a 91.... miatas are fun to drive... i can only imagine what a boosted one is like!

Coming from a miata, I think you'll like what BMW has to offer. Please do lurk around and feel free to ask (or answer) any questions that come to mind.
Just know that whether or not you end up with a BMW does not mean you cannot be a part of werkz.

Interesting you should mention that. I've been playing around in the Garage, but can't get my pics down to the size limits. If I don't figure it our tonight, I'll have all day Christmas to try again. Shoot, even my 640x480s are still ±120kb and the max is ±102.

Yes, I reckon I'll have to post here, until I can figure out how to put them in the vbGarage. Here are a few.
I really do like this car...at least when it's running well. The Hydra needs a bit of auto geek understanding of things. Alas, I'm a malleable, mechanical mental minus.
This shows how nicely the 'kooks & the 949Racing 6ULs fill out the wheel wells.
Flyin' Miata built my Stroker. T'ain't cheap and they know what they're doing.
Those with sharp eyes will notice how dirty it is in the engine bay. I'm not much for car shows & I live in the desert...OK, I'm a slob.
I'll work on the Garage tomorrow. BTW, the text portion has a fair amount of info, but not the Engine data.

At the moment, I'm somewhere in the ±300rwhp range (I'll dyno next month). There are Miatas out there with a Stroker & GT3071R that are pushing 450 to 615rwhp, but IIRC they not exactly daily Drivers.

From what I hear, the transmission is the weak link. You can only put so much power on it before needing an upgrade if you plan to daily drive it. That's what I hear
