Hi there,

I'm Andrew and I live in Indonesia.
I am not currently a BMW owner but I have owned a 93 e36 320i and a 94 530i in the late 90s. Right now I have just finished a Toyota Soarer Project after 3 years and I am looking into an e39 project

I hope you guys can shed some light into what I am getting in to and what i can do with a bimmer.

e39 if I'm not mistaken is a five. Well you can do lots with it. I personaly like sleepers. There is nothing scarier then a simple looking BMW. But hell you owned bimmers before you should know lol. Welcome to the forums. I havent been here long but I already know this is prolly one of the best out there.

You should build yourself a nice tame looking monster. lol. What do you have in mind?

Oups.. Not e39.. I was looking into a e38 the 7 series. I was looking into a e39 but came across a friend's 7 series for sale. The car has been rebuilt and I thought that it would be wiser to get that one. Besides I've never had a huge car like that before. I am just looking to see what i can do to upgrade the 3.0 V8 engine. If anyone know where I can get used engines and where is a good place to look for original used body kits in the web.

One of the thing that I thought about is putting in the e39 M5 engine into the 7. in my tread " Project Car e38??" I was asking a few question but no reply yet...

What are you working on right now ?

You could go for a remap, de-cat if your country allows, turbo charger and body kits are avalible on ebay Uk and take a look in ebay DE (germany)......its quite a bit of work to drop an M5 e39 in to an e38 you will need the whole car if possible for the wiring harnesses and ECU/EGS etc.

Cool at least the shipping is not too bad to Indonesia. But the Euro will kill me... hahahaha
