| Tranny Probs....
Got an 89 525i with a fresh tranny rebuild...Lost drive in all gears while goin down the highway....BUT when it cools down, it drives fine again....I mean, wide-open, auto or manual shifting, balls-out shifts great and shifts RIGHT!!!
I took off the pan, and had the usual super-fine steel dust(Very little) and fluid is all good...
After an overnite cool down it drives Several miles(8-10) and shifts great, then has to be cooled down for 30 min or an hour to drive a mile or two. No other heating problems in the car, and as far as feel, no shimmy, rumble, shake, or grab/slip action goin on either.....No noises....Fluid even smells good.
Almost seems a pressure problem...Car still has break in fluid in it...
