Stalling issues on 2005 545i - BMW Forum

I have a 2005 545i that has a stalling issue from an idle. it only happens when the car is warmed up and does not cause any dash lights to go on. I have had it checked out by a mechanic that has hooked it up to a computer while driving it. It stalls out with no warning from an idle and all info on the computer goes out without warning. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Has the fuel filter been changed?

It has not yet. Without having an issue when car is cold, would that make a difference?

So once up to temp and at idle does it run ok ?

Runs fine at idle. Once you press the throttle, she stalls out. If you pump the throttle hard to get the RPM's up, you can get it going. If you just feather the throttle as you would off a stop light, she stalls every time.

Certainly sounds like a fuel issue get your mechanic to check out the fuel pressure at the rail.
