"Sort of new" from Australia

G'day all...

I must admit I feel a bit rude - I've been on the Werkz for a couple of months now but haven't yet introduced myself properly.

I'm living on the Mornington peninsula in Victoria, in south-eastern Australia. I bought my first, and so far only, BMW about 18 months ago, an e34 540i that I absolutely love to bits. Previously having driven Commodores, Fords, and at one stage, an old Jag XJ6, I can definitely state that I am a Bimmer convert. I love the engineering and build quality inherent in these cars, not to mention that they pack a serious punch on the road.

My fave Bimmers are definitely the older models. I love the profile of the e34, but a convertible e30 coupe or an e32 7 series both catch my eye, and of late I've found myself drawn to the old e24 6 series of sport coupes. All I know for certain is that I will not go back to driving the old bangers that I used to cruise around in.
